Residence permit
The integration process in a new country can be difficult, especially with insufficient knowledge of the
Finnish language. It takes time to understand the work of various services, identify who to contact on
specific issues and correctly interpret laws. We went through this many years ago and now we are
successfully helping dozens of people to adapt. We can assure you that with Mattum everything will be
more comfortable and clear!
Residence permit
The first priority when living in Finland is to have a legal residence status, and we realize how
important it is to get the residence permit. But what is equally important is to get the permission to stay
in the country for as long as possible, and not only for the applicant, but for all family members. We
offer you our document preparation services, as well as our support from submitting an application to
the Immigration Service to obtaining a residence permit in Finland.
We help with the paperwork and application for all types of residence permits in Finland:
- A residence permit is a mandatory document for those foreigners who intend to stay in the country
for more than 90 days.
The basis for obtaining a residence permit:
- -work (obtaining a residence permit due to working under a long-term employment contract, obtaining a residence permit for seasonal work — maximum period of permission is 9 months);
- education;
- family reunification (children, spouse, partner, guardian of a minor child).
- Obtaining a permanent residence permit (permanent residence) (possible after 4 years of residence
in Finland); - Obtaining Finnish citizenship (possible after 5 years of continuous living in Finland. From October
01 st , 2024, there will be changes regarding the acquisition of Finnish citizenship, which we will publish
on the website);
We also help with the extension or updating of permits (in case of loss or damage);
Make an appointment for a consultation, and together we will draw up a plan for further action! Also,
